I am so grateful you chose to continue your journey towards healing at Thrive Counseling. I say continue rather than begin because I believe we all have innate strengths towards inner healing. You reading this right here, right now, demonstrates to yourself that you have internal strength, motivation, and realization that you deserve a meaningful and joyful life.

I utilize various treatment modalities to assist you meet your personal, life, wellness, and relationship goals. Some approaches I employ include trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based approaches, and expressive modalities such as internal family systems theory.

I resonate strongly with the work of Dr. Richard Schwartz who sees us as having various inner parts that all serve to function our individual internal system. I use this framework combined with a strengths based perspective, where you and I will work together to identify how your unique internal system operates. There are no “bad” or “broken” parts of you. Only parts that may have learned to adapt in ways that no longer serve you. Let’s work collaboratively to find healthier ways to find peace and balance in your life. I am excited to work alongside you on this journey.

Welcome! It is an honor to serve this community in the helping profession. I am a licensed counselor who offers individual sessions for adults and teens. I also provide EMDR treatment, an evidenced based treatment approach aiming to reduce the symptoms associated with trauma and other distressing life experiences. I also have experience in helping people journey towards healing in the matters of depression, seasons of adjustment/change, relationship struggles, grief, emotional dysregulation, and anxiety.
My top priority is to create a nurturing and supportive environment, for this is where the healing begins. I primarily draw from a strengths-based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients feel empowered. I believe you are the expert of your story and I am here to help you build on your strengths and positive attributes. My background is working with families and youth who have experienced traumatic events, anxiety, substance abuse, homelessness, and PTSD. I have experience with adolescents in foster care, teen and young adult relationship abuse, working with traumatized victims, deescalating conflict, human trafficking, and working with families affected by incarcerated parents. I like to create a safe non-judgemental environment where clients can share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused treatment, and client-centered approach, but prefer an eclectic therapeutic method drawing from different techniques that best fit you.

Every person is different and I enjoy helping others on their journey to finding their strengths and mental health wellness.

Hello, I am so happy to be able to continue serving my community here at Thrive! It has and continues to be my goal to support the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and their families as they move through the challenges and changes of life. Most of my career has focused on providing individual and family therapy to young children, preteens, teenagers, and young adults support through family changes, trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation. I also specialize working with LGBT+ youth and families.
I firmly believe in a person-centered approach to therapy and hold the client in regard as being the expert of their own experiences. I pull from various therapeutic models such as CBT, DBT, Motivational interviewing, ACT, and IFS to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and strengths. I also do my best to work with the family to help their children and adolescents feel safe, supported, and empowered in their relationships at home and in other aspects of life.
